Coaches often get asked this question after an athlete suffers an injury: "What's better? Ice or heat?"
Well here's your answer...
Ice, Ice baby...

I think our athletes are proof of that as well. Nobody wants to mess with these kids.

May Long Weekend
There will be no competitive or pre-competitive training Sunday May 22nd or Monday May 23rd due to the Victoria Day holiday.
Competitive Uniform Order Form
For everyone who is still in need of a track-suit for the upcoming boys skills meets please fill out and return a copy of the Uniform Order Form to the front desk of the gym by Thursday May 19th at the latest. An email asking me to order you a uniform won't be enough as we need to have a paper trail to verify payments for our records.
Thanks

Tulip Classic Schedule and Pre-Comp Track Suits
The schedule for the pre-comp boys upcoming fun "skills meet" at Ottawa Gymnastics Centre has been released. The boys will be competing on the morning of Saturday May 28th, with registration at 7:30. Please see the full scheduile posted below.
Also, it has come to my attention that not all of the pre-competitve boys have bought their track suits. If this is the case for your son please contact me as soon as possible so that we can proceed with a track suit order in time for the Ottawa meet.

Provincial Championships and Skills Meets
First, I'd like to take this opportunity to congratulate our boys for a strong showing at the men's provincial championships, The Ontario Cup, held in Burlington on the weekend of April 16th. Tumblers had a number of athletes place in the top six in the all-around of their respective categories, as well as quite a few strong showings on the individual apparatus. Full results and scores can be found here.
Tumblers also qualified three athletes to the Eastern Canadian Championships to be held in Halifax May 5th through to May 8th. I would like to extend a special congratulations and wishes of good luck to Eric Gauthier, Brendan Lee, and Tyler Glavind - we know that the three of them will make Team Ontario and Tumblers proud.
With the competition season coming to an end for our provincial and national stream athletes, we in the MAG program are now in the process of gearing up for the "competitive season" for our pre-comp and kinder elite athletes. This year our pre-comp boys will be taking part in two non-competitive skills meets. This is a chance for them to show off all of the hard work they've put into training this year, as well as to experience the atmosphere of a real competition without the pressure of being scored and ranked. The first of these two events will take place over the weekend of May 28th and 29th at Ottawa Gymnastics Centre (exact time and date to be confirmed), and the second will be a grand finale event held at Tumblers on June 12th at 4 pm (more information will be sent home with the athletes as the event approaches). We look forward to seeing all our boys there and to take the opportunity to show what Tumblers' boys are made of.
